Pleasantly Arbitrating Misconstrued Relational Affronts, Troubles Skirted XII

With a satisfying click, you disable the traps of Pirate Cove’s secret entrance. Buddy was right, it never gets old. The immediate din of activity shocks you. Navigating through the tunnels, you can hear extremely unusual commotion in the distance. Moving slowly, you edge towards an outcropping, the cliff you normally fish from is quiet, but the echoes of activity bounce through the cave walls and the cove all the same. You decide to go deeper into the cove, through a tunnel that you have never needed to pass through before, and using your knowledge of the cove’s defense system, you realize none of the traps are active.

Inching forward, you see a different cove, larger and bustling with activity. A massive ship sits directly in the middle. It is painted a dark black, and the sails shimmer in the sunlight - oscillating between white and black in a strange and hypnotizing pattern that make it hard to pin down what their intended color is. On the crows nest, a single small flag sits with a skull and crossbone - pirates!.

You attempt to count their number when you realize that there are even more ships outside the cove. How could anyone have missed this?

Realizing you could be caught, you slink back into the dark passages and back to the quietness of your fishing cove. You will have to bring proof back to Borgen and Holger of this change, and you might have some questions for Buddy as well…
