Day 148 of Leaf 84 of Branch 1342
Overnight update:
The Balstar had a lightworks outage overnight again. This time it lasted closer to a minute, according to the night crew’s best estimate. They weren’t as sure about the duration this time because they were at their ease after another grand meal.
We’ll check in with the Balstar again today about their lightworks issues.
Midday update:
The reply from the Balstar was that the outage overnight was caused by the maintenance on the lightworks of the previous night. They have made some temporary repairs, but they will need to spend extra time on Nonir Island making more permanent changes. It is an unfortunate delay, but it should give us time to take our passengers to see the Nonir turtles.
Evening update:
I have an uneasy feeling, without any clouds around to cause it. It feels like the calm before a big storm.
We arrive at Nonir Island tomorrow afternoon, if all goes well. I will advise my crew and passengers to be extra cautious the next few days. I will also be rotating the work assignments for everyone after we finish our time at Nonir. New jobs will help everyone to stay watchful. I will miss Mariya’s meals, Lorn’s immaculate cleaning, and the best fishing hauls I’ve ever seen, but perhaps fortune will continue to favor us.
