A Whimper I

As you’re digging, you hear a strange noise coming from a shallow hole where you removed some mossy stone. It sounds sort of like a puppy, one that is either very hungry or injured. For some reason the sound also makes you feel like someone is watching you. You wonder for a moment if this is what Cid was talking about when you first started mining here.

Before you have time to sink too deep into thought, the whimpering increases in intensity. You have to save that poor animal! As quickly as you can, you work to expand the hole.
