The Spirit of Delicacy V
Just as the day previous, you return with your haul, Geist and Holger are waiting, they take their shares, and then they scuttle away. That night, you go to bed musing on the strangeness of the past two days. You’re really glad it’s all over. As you drift off, you truly hope that’s the end of your ghost crab fishing.
In the morning, you cautiously open your front door. Surely no one is waiting for you. But, Holger and Geist are standing there staring again. However, this time Rosalie is with them. She greets you before Holger and Geist can say anything. Then, Rosalie starts into a bonkers tale about Holger and Geist boiling crabs in the fountain in front of Cecil’s house all night long. That’s where Rosalie found them. They were both passed out by the fountain, covered in bits of crab shells and viscera. The fountain was still smoldering from dragon fire and filled with crab shells too. Rosalie was just coming by to visit Cecil when she found them.
The scene was so odd that Rosalie immediately cast a discerning spell to test for any strange magic afoot. Both Geist and Holger were infected with a spectral ether. Rosalie found the same magic in the crab shells.
Fortunately, Rosalie knew exactly how to cure Geist and Holger. She used the crab shell remnants for the spell, but it wasn’t nearly enough. It did clear their heads enough to get them to follow her though. To completely cure them, Rosalie is going to need a lot more purple ghost crabs. Will you help her? And please don’t give anyone any more ghost crabs to eat, especially Holger and Geist.
