As soon as Holger finishes his request, Buddy takes a deep breath and begins his own.
“Friends, I am filled with sorrow because of the two opposing causes you are being called upon to adjudicate and assist. We have put you in the middle of a mighty conflict. However, I cannot ask you to choose a side in this war. Instead, I will simply implore you to provide supplies to both sides, and then let the two of us war over the welfare of this benevolent beast. Now, should you decide that one cause is more just, and more beneficial to the whole of T’rah, and not to one solitary digester, I would welcome you to throw your whole self into the support of that cause. I would hold no grudge against one that chose to do so.”
Buddy pauses for a moment, and then concludes.
“Here’s what I need. Will you help me?”
