The Great Hunt IV

Buddy and Holger argued the entire rest of the way to Cane Pole Ridge. Even when the party stopped to make camp for the night, they argued. They argued around bites of stew that Vincent prepared. They argued as they were drifting off to sleep. The only break from the bickering was when they both finally and strangely simultaneously fell asleep. Then, as soon as Holger woke, Buddy instantly woke too, and the debate raged anew. Finally, as Cane Pole Ridge came into view, both parties fell silent, deep in thought: one plotting the demise of the great bird, the other its salvation.

After a few moments, Holger finishes his plotting first and breaks the silence. Looking to you and Vincent, he asks, “Will you help me gather some things to lure the turkey?”
