The Great Hunt III
As the quick meal gets underway, Holger gets comfortable against a large boulder. He then begins to share his dreams for what may come of the giant golden turkey.
“I’ll have to roast that giant turkey in parts. It’s too big for my oven. Maybe I’ll fry some of it too! Wait! Can you imagine how much gravy I can make from such a beast?! It’ll be glorious!”
“I love a good turkey sandwich with friends.” A new voice adds to Holger’s musings.
“Me too. Although, I don’t mind eating alone…”
Holger, realizing an unexpected voice has interrupted his monologue, looks up to see Buddy peering down at him from atop the enormous rock.
“Buddy! I didn’t hear you join us. Would you like to help us catch a turkey?”
“I would love to go on an adventure with my friends! Where are we hunting turkeys? The forest surrounding Mount Banon?”
Excited to share his plan, Holger tells Buddy all about the giant golden turkey of Cane Pole Ridge. As Holger talks, Buddy’s smile fades bit by bit. Barely pausing to breathe, Holger continues to muse about all the wonderful turkey dishes he will be eating soon until Buddy suddenly interrupts him.
“I’ll come along, but I won’t let you kill that turkey.” Then, looking at you and Vincent, Buddy asks, “Will you help me prepare a few things for the journey?”
