The Great Hunt I

“A golden turkey as big as a cabin! Just imagine it, Vincent!” Holger almost squeals with delight.

“How do you know it’s real? It seems like something that big and bright would be easy to spot.” Vincent says, trying with all his might not to crush Holger’s excitement.

“It is real! I’ve seen it! You can ask Borgen too. He saw it! We were out hunting pearl berries for my Gramma. We were on top of Cane Pole Ridge. That turkey was down in the canyon eating horned beetles. It must’ve been five or ten minutes that we watched it.”

Barely pausing to catch a breath, Holger continues. “I’m just asking you and our friend to come along and help me find it again. I’ll take care of everything else.”

Taking a deep breath, Vincent gives you the look. It’s the look of another adventure that will definitely not end as expected, perhaps even with the wrong person in a cage again, but it’s also the look of acceptance.

“Let us get a few things for the journey, and we’ll come with you.” Vincent says, accepting the adventure on your behalf.
