“Moonstones are not entirely of this planet. The Great Logs tell of several legends, collected from different parts of T’rah, that claims that the majority of their composition originated on the moon. The legends state that during a moon in the first quarter phase, many, many years ago, a vast rainstorm created a series of puddles of great size and scope. When the clouds cleared and the moon reached its zenith in the sky, a gateway was opened that transferred huge heaps of moon matter to the planet. This matter reacted with the rainwater and soil and stones to create enormous mounds of moonstones.
Scientists from Romuska attempted to observe and verify this phenomena over many years. Only once did a moonstone appear in an observed puddle during a first quarter moon after a rainstorm. No abnormalities were discovered that differentiated that night or that puddle. The claim of these legends was left unverified with the collapse of Romuska.”
