Strange Companions XVII
Holger marvels at the beauty of the golden potato.
“I’ve no idea how you’ve come by this, but it is truly a majestic and unique piece.” He gives you a grand smile, "Probably don't tell Cecil about this though."
Holger’s smile is enough to brighten even the clearest sky. He pauses for a moment before offering you a single phrase. “Find Buddy.”
As you leave, you are reminded of all the good in this town, the people and the community. The smiles of the townsfolk and others you've met in your journey, those memories bring you hope, and your resolve to figure out the mystery of Star is renewed.
And yet, wending your way through the streets and alleys, the trauma of the unsettling shadow again begins to grip you, the sense of someone following you gnaws at your mind. A sound, the scuff of feet comes from behind you and impulsively you glance backwards and the world rushes to greet your face.
Fear seizes your gut and despair overwhelms as a shadow looms over you. This is the end.
