Strange Companions XL

You clench your fists, ready to enact your plan, when in the distance, you hear a faint whistle. And another. And another. Suddenly, a cacophony of whistles and explosions wash across the town. Fireworks begin to encircle the whole town when suddenly explosions shake your feet. Buddy did it!

Ric looks to the sky, a moment of confusion as townsfolk begin to light their homes and look through their windows.

In the sky, a symbol appears in the fireworks. A giant golden leaf.

“We are more than the sum of our parts, Ric,” Beatrix's voice can be heard clear as day through the chaos. She stands, blood on her shirt, clearly wounded.

“We are one. I am Beatrix but I am also no mere dragon…” A golden light emits from Beatrix’s eyes and the night glows as bright as noon, followed by a blinding flash, before you all, Geist in all her glory radiates energy and hope.

Ric stands, a stunned look in his eyes and seems unable to move.

“...I am also Geist, and your time in Redbrook terrorizing its citizens will meet its end soon enough.”

Geist lowers her wing and your companions clamber on her back before she leaps in the air and flies away into the crackling darkness, backlit by the flashing fireworks and chaos around the town.
