Strange Companions X
When you return to Cecil’s house, he is positively beaming as you hand him the items. He carefully takes a ring off his finger and puts a new ring on before putting the rest in the same bag by the door. Curiously, he begins to wave you inside and suddenly his eyes turn cold.
“Get out! If you mention any of this to Ric I will tell him about the peculiar gem and Beatrix both! I never want to see that mage’s pupil or you around here again!”
You turn away, seeing Rosalie standing off in the distance to your left trying her best to look innocuous, but failing miserably. As you step away from Cecil’s house, you glimpse a silver silhouette in the distance but struggle to identify the person.
Rosalie approaches you as you head towards the farm and apologizes profusely, “I’m sorry, I was just so worried about Star and Cecil was acting so strange I was trying to hear what was being said with a listening spell…”
Rosalie sniffles a little and you suggest some tea at Rosalie’s house to calm everyone’s nerves after the abrupt change in afternoon.
