Remember To Be Thankful I
Holger loves this time of year. He and Borgen grew up with lots of friends and family gathering for the harvest feast. Holger’s dad was a fisherman and always exchanged fresh fish for a variety of harvest produce. Because of these exchanges the harvest feast always showcased a wide variety of delicious dishes.
One year, when Holger was thirteen, the fishing haul was abnormally meager. Holger’s dad wasn’t sure if they would have enough food to get through the winter, much less trade for the harvest feast. Holger prepared himself for the worst. The day of the feast came and friends and family gathered. One by one all of Holger’s favorite dishes appeared, and in more abundance than usual. Somehow, that harvest feast tasted better than any before.
Holger isn’t sure if his friends and family knew that Holger’s family was in need, but he’s never forgotten their kindness.
