Pretty Abrupt Save XXIX
After a moment of confusion, you spin around to see Buddy, eyepatch and bandana covering a majority of his face, but his outline is unmistakable.
“We’ll save them, don’t you worry,” he whispers. The echoes of his whispers bounce off the tunnel in strange ways, making it sound like Buddy was talking to you from many directions.
He raises a finger to his lips to signal staying quiet and motions you to follow. You grab a torch to follow him.
The tunnel is silent but for the occasional drip of water and your footsteps. After about 5 minutes, Buddy stops suddenly, and you peer around to see that you’ve exited a tunnel into a wider space. It is littered with broken boxes, rotted treasure chests, and other detritus.
“We’ll be safe here. Jayante and I used this place for storage before. That smuggler’s hatch came in handy yet again! If I know Hrakness, we're going to need some serious bribery material to get her to leave Redbrook alone..."
