Perils of Friendship
My dearest {player},
I’m sorry that I could not deliver this letter and small gift directly to you. I expected to be home by now, but great obstacles currently stand in the way of my return. Hopefully, Rosalie was able to escape the guards, and, if you’re reading this, she has made it home to Redbrook.
I thank my great equine ancestors that Rosalie came with me. I could not have found the faerie cursebreaker without her. Even together, it took every bit of speed, wit, and magic the two of us could muster to get through Eebeeeebee’s labyrinth. As you can probably imagine, Eebeeeebee was exceptionally displeased by our success! All of the guards protecting the rest of Eebeeeebee’s treasures were immediately dispatched to stop us from escaping. Still, we almost made it clear of that great legion.
Alas, they will soon be upon us. In my estimation, we have one chance at getting the cursebreaker home. Rosalie has just enough feathers left to transport herself halfway home, if I can get her to the edge of Eebeeeebee’s power. Then, Rosalie can easily make her way to Redbrook. I will do my best to avoid capture and also make my way home, as quickly as I can. Don’t fret about me.
I do hope the cursebreaker works and Lucky Lady is completely recovered. However, if the cursebreaker fails, I must impose upon you to proceed with the fallback plan. Don’t waste any efforts to come find me, help my Lucky Lady. I beg you. I cannot bear for her to suffer anymore because of me.
I would have thoroughly enjoyed watching you open the small gift accompanying this letter. I do hope you love it!
Your faithful friend,
Charles Horsington III
