Intruders Beware VIII
Buddy double-crossed Holger. They got the pirate magic shared from the old artifacts to the trap mechanisms. Suddenly, the entire cave felt electric and Holger could hear gears turning and ropes pulling. It was like all of the traps were being reset. Then, out of nowhere Buddy laughed and vanished.
Holger considered trying his luck with the tunnels without Buddy. He even walked to the point where Buddy stopped during their first exploration of the cave. Then, Holger tossed one of his lanterns several meters into a tunnel. It landed on the tunnel floor and a giant boulder immediately fell from the ceiling. The boulder fell exactly where the lantern fell. At that, Holger decided to come home and have a nice meal.
