Intruders Beware VI
Vincent wasn’t sure if Pirate’s Cove has a skull-shaped cave. He didn’t get a good look when he was there. Actually, Vincent didn’t want to talk about his time at Pirate’s Cove, but he did tell Holger that he was trying to use the runestone to find Pirate’s Cove.
Speaking of the runestone, Holger has great news! After he returned from talking to Vincent, he noticed that the backside of the runestone, that you found, was similar to the squiggles on the southern entrance on the map. So, he put the runestone face down on the map and lined it up with the squiggles. It fit perfectly! It also had a reaction like the coin, where it resists being removed from the map. Strangely, that resistance doesn’t happen with the runestone face up.
It took Holger a little while to recognize the image created by the runestone and the map, but he’s pretty sure that it’s the small cave not far from Lake Tempest.
Now, Holger wants to go explore the small cave and see if the map is correct. Will you help him prepare for exploring the cave?
