Captain Thomas didn't have much luck trying to combine the glass from the different sands together. It was like trying to combine oil and water, very hot water and very hot oil. Nevertheless, he did craft a neat hourglass filled with sand from both sides of the island. The hourglass doesn't keep time at all because the sands just stay suspended against the top and bottom, but it‘s fascinating to look at.

Now, Captain Thomas is out of ideas. The mystery of the island is fascinating, but Captain Thomas doesn't feel like he's making any progress toward getting home. He's going back to his fishing business for a while. He appreciates your help again and he's very sorry for wasting your time.
