Depths of Friendship

”I’ve been a truly poor friend for all of my time in this Redbrook. There I go again. It should be my Redbrook too.”

“I just got so caught up in wanting to get home. It hurt. Actually, more than anything, I wanted to get back to Sarafina. I spiraled and spiraled downward and downward. I just couldn’t think about anything but getting back to her.”

“I appreciate that you never gave up on me when I was giving up on myself.”

“Then, I had a new hope with Thomas and the boat. But when Ragvin and his crew stranded us, I thought it was all over. I nearly spiraled again, but Thomas kept me going. And then you were there with our friends! You all came to rescue us!”

“Don’t fret that we didn’t end up needing the rescue. Your efforts are a credit to you anyway.”

“I know that my coming now, in the fair weather of life, may seem a bit hollow for a claim to true friendship. I assure you it’s not. I can finally breathe again. I can finally think clearly. Since Sarafina found me, I feel whole again. Now, I can really see all that you have done for me, and I thank you for all of it.”
