You return a while later, and Buddy is laying face-down on the floor. “I don’t want to play any more.” he mumbles through the dirt. You poke him with the peg leg. Buddy peeks over at you. “You fixed it? I thought you didn't like playing pirates with me.” Buddy hugs his peg leg.

“Some people don’t want to play with me because I am different from them. You play with me just to make me happy. Is it okay to call you my best friend?”
