Archeology Requires Knowhow III

As Lorn leads the way into the Brindle Pub, you pause for a moment to admire a performance occurring right in front of your eyes. Lorn is transformed. No longer is he the careful and wise old sage. He is a charming pirate the instant he walks through the door.

After dumping a bag of jewels on the bar, he hollers over the crowd to the landlord. “Food and drinks for everyone! And keep them coming ’til we’re all full!”

In response, the crowd gives a raucous roar of approval and Lorn tips his hat to them. A few old roughs invite Lorn over to their table to share their thanks and Lorn disappears into the crowd heading their direction.

You spy an empty table in the opposite direction and make your way to it. From this edge of the excitement you can see all around the pub. The pub is fairly full, fairly dim, and fairly loud. The landlord is now quite busy taking orders and handing out food and drinks at the bar. Lorn is shaking hands with a short old man and then starts gesticulating what looks to be a wild story to everyone around him. The pub’s inhabitants love it.

Your meal is long finished by the time Lorn makes his way to your table.

“Arrrr! You’re doing great playing a suddenly-wealthy pirate. Keep up the good work.”

“Unfortunately, the Wodutrown brothers are surprisingly mum right now. However, I think, out of the two brothers, Lagerne might give us a clue to Buddy’s whereabouts, if we give him something he wants. Will you try to find something valuable to tempt him with?”
