A Way Back XXXIII

My friend,
By the time you get this letter, Thomas and I should be well out to sea and well on our way to find the glow. I’m sorry to leave this letter as my goodbye, instead of a face-to-face exchange. Goodbyes are tough and I wanted to make sure I got my words just right.

You are a true friend, and you’ve helped me without reservation since I landed on your world. Even when you saw me succumb to desperation, you continued to help me. I’ve also watched as you helped others, no matter what they needed. Your example is part of why I’m helping Thomas on this voyage. If I’m to be stuck on this world, I should make it a better place, just like you do. It would make my Sarafina proud too.

No more feeling sorry for myself. I have a friend in need.

Finally, I’m leaving this runestone in your care. It was in my pocket when I was pulled from my world. It appears to be one of a few that are unique to my universe. Please keep it safe until I return.
